Psychology of Bhagavad-gita
Rathi Krishna dasa January 7th, 2010
Indian Philosophy has a wealth of knowledge about psychology both describing in detail the nature of the mind and how to favorably transform it. Especially, the Bhagavad-gita summarizes the three classical practices of that transformation: Karma-yoga (the path of action), jnana (the path of knowledge) and bhakti (the path of devotion). From Bhagavad-gita Dhanurdhara Swami summarizes the nature of yoga psychology and how exactly each path transforms ones consciousness. Finally he discusses the practical application of each path in ones own transformation, especially while living within the world.
This lecture was given at The Arlington Center in conjunction with the Boston Brahmins on April 25, 2009.
